I was born in Taxco de Alarcon, Guerrero, Mexico. When I was 18 I moved to Mexico city, where I studied a B. Sc. In Physics at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. During my undergraduate studies I did several research stays inside Mexico as well as abroad. At the age of 23 I graduated from College (with honorable mention). One year later I came to KAUST to enroll in the MS/PhD program in Electrical Engineering. I’m deeply interested in the physics behind the electronic devices that currently exist in order to can contribute to the emerging technologies that can improve our lives in a wide variety of ways in the future.
